Hi everyone, welcome to my first blog!

So to start it off, with the craziness of Christmas creeping in and a New Year beckoning, I thought it might be a poignant time to give you something useful. I do love my job, I get to hang out with amazing women most days and show them how flipping awesome they are, and sometimes they need reminding and nurturing, so I put together 5 Tips that to help get that inner Business Chic rockin.

Life is busy when you are the next big entrepreneurial superstar- and if you don't think of yourself in this way; you should be! Stop thinking you are not good enough. What is enough? YOU are enough, right now, as you are. If you are plagued with self doubt and criticism, it's time to stop and reassess your self-friendship. Would you treat your best friend like this? Probably not. So do something about that, start nurturing that inner you. If you can't; find out how to, and get to it NOW!

Be Yourself! Don’t try to anyone else, they are all taken. YOU have a unique edge, a unique personality and no doubt unique traits. Swim against the tide and you will be amazed at what you discover about yourself. Being authentic helps find your ‘voice’. Your voice, your message, your focus all drive from this point that is you. So, next time you feel yourself trying to change to fit someone else’s told- forget it.

Don't compare yourself to other business women. Everybody's journey is different, everybody's calling is different. Sure our industry's might be the same or similar or poles apart. But to bring on some Poppinesque -there's room for everyone in this world. Hold each other up, support each other. Refer business to each other. Have respect for each other and nurture relationships. We need to support each other, not drag each other down. True business success has a flow to it, don't ever forget it.

Use strategy! What are your goals for 2017? How will you obtain those goals? What are the stepping stones? Who do you need to speak to, listen to, learn from? Start writing them down and a story will start to form, this is your story ready to unfold. Getting it out of your head and onto paper is an amazing way to get flow happening. Mentorship is priceless as is learning.

Choose your networks carefully. It can be super enticing to get involved in every networking group on offer these days with groups, meetings and committees setting up quicker than you can change your undies. But choose carefully. Is it a positive environment? Does it foster support and lifting each other up, or does it feel crushing and competitive?

You are who you hang with, make it positive.
